RF Surveys, Mapping & Interference Investigation
A survey should do more than color a floor plan. It should show where a service works, where it changes, what else is present in the spectrum, and which observations deserve engineering attention.
WirelessLab collects synchronized signal, location, service, and environmental information for indoor spaces, campuses, industrial sites, outdoor areas, and routes. The exact measurement set follows the question: coverage, quality, mobility, interference, capacity, or a combination.
Questions we help answer
Measure the boundary. Explain the cause.
Where does coverage change?
Locate weak areas, transition zones, shadowing, and conditions that are hidden by an average score.
What is affecting service?
Investigate interference, adjacent-channel energy, obstructions, reflections, device behavior, and configuration conditions.
Will the route hold up?
Connect signal and service performance to position, movement, handovers, and the application experience.
What should change first?
Give planners a prioritised view of antenna, parameter, placement, spectrum, or follow-up measurement questions.
Method
A measurement plan shaped around the site.
Depending on the use case, we can combine RF scans, RSRP or RSSI measurements, signal-quality indicators, throughput and latency tests, GPS or indoor positioning, route repetition, spectrum observations, and visual documentation. We keep the collection conditions visible so a later comparison is meaningful.
- Coverage and signal-quality maps
- Route or zone summaries with observed conditions
- Interference and anomaly observations
- Measurement files and documented collection context
- Planning recommendations and follow-up questions
Typical fit
Before planning, after a change, or when the map is not telling the whole story.
Use an RF survey for a new private wireless or Wi-Fi deployment, a coverage complaint, a handover problem, a site expansion, a low-power IoT route, or a research comparison. For a full readiness scope, begin with the Wireless Readiness Review.
